I recently needed to draw a building with Byzantine-like architectural details, and that was one of the buildings I used for reference.
Tomorrow, I will post up a photo I took of the interior (one pic a day right ). I was blown away when I walked into that building. Awe inspiring doesn't even cover it.

All the more incredible when you think it was built almost 1500 years ago. I was really happy to have my new lens for that photo as there wasn't a lot of light inside the Hagia Sophia. So that was taken at f/2.8 with a focal length of 17mm.
