Meeting with a provincial governor. I was fortunate to have had access to places where most people simply did not and this isn't just in regards to civilians but also military personnel as well. This was in Mayden Shar, Afghanistan. The man all the way up front was from the Afghan National Army. The man with the shaved head was an American LTC and next to him, the guy with the baseball cap on was an interpreter. Seated in the middle is an AFG higher up with their national police, the man standing works at the governors office. To the right and front is an American COL with his interpreter and to the far right is a higher up from the Afghan National Army.
The meeting was about cutting down on violence and the state of the economy in the province. More specifically, the spoke about the coming crop season as apricots (IIRC) were a large part of the economy there.

I've created albums here on City-Data. Each picture has a URL, that's the www . whatever . com address of the image without the spaces. Then in the Reply to Thread box click on the little yellow square with the mountain range. If you hover your cursor over it, it says, Insert Image. Paste the URL in the line that pops up and click OK.

I took my camera on a play date this afternoon and visited the Miniature World of Trains that recently opened in downtown Greenville. This is kind of an overall pic of the layout for the Christmas room. They're still working on the other part of the museum.
