Cool pictures, everyone! That water moccasin looks neat, and I'm glad you don't kill them... they have no interest in killing YOU, and as mentioned, they help to control the local rodent populations.

Btw, I noticed the last time I posted pics (which are now gone), my Western Hognose Charlotte had just arrived... I've had her for about a year & a half now, and she's gotten HUGE! She's also become one of my favorite snakes - if not THE favorite - as she has the most adorable & quirky little personality. Here she is now:

I think it's a speckled. I'm waiting for an answer from a friend who knows snakes better. The lucky part is it just laid there for almost 2 hrs until the sun rose over the hill before moving off.
