Do you go to Dozen?

No but I want to try it. I generally try to not eat stuff like that aside from family gatherings. And usually it's sadly only from Giant Eagle.

Carl's Jr. and Hardee's have the same owners, but they're not the same menu at all. The relationship is relatively new. Also, two of the worst fast food chains by far. Hardee's is ok for breakfast, though.

I don't mean to be a hater but we have these down my way and I don't think Pittsburgh was really missing all that much by not having one. The one in Wheeling is still kicking but the one in Weirton closed. The coffee is very average and places with pastries are a dime a dozen. As far as chain places go I would rather go to Panera Bread to be blunt.

I remember all the hype when Krespy Kreme came to town. A doughnut is a doughnut, how tough is it to make one?

I was in the Buffalo/Niagara region yesterday and looked at a Tim Horton's menu. I don't get the appeal, it's a sandwich shop with a limited sandwich menu, and bagels and donuts. Also, I liked Buffalo. Screw the Buffalo haters.

I love Buffalo too, and miss living near it.

I have a friend who is nuts for Krispy Kreme. I find them blah at best. I hate glazed donuts, and I think 90% of theirs are glazed. I usually get a donut with a hole -- sour cream?

I much prefer Dunkin Donuts, which are now popping up all over Pgh. There's a new one in Oakland, on Forbes right below the Towers, plus ones that have opened in Squirrel Hill (the first kosher DD) and on Brown's Hill Road between Squirrel Hill and the Waterfront in the last year or so.
