My wife and I move into the home we bought recently in Troy Hill tomorrow. Love the neighborhood, its views, and the fact that it reminds me of a little village. It really isn't on the way to anywhere else, so if you're passing someone on the street chances are they're a 'neighbor'. The neighbors in the vicinity of our house have been nothing but welcoming and nice to us. We feel safe and happy here, and I can't wait to take our future kids to the parks nearby, or walk to the strip to buy groceries.

Thanks for all the help. I've been looking on craigslist and unfortunately I don't see much in our price range listed on the northside. Are there any better places to look for listings on the northside? Would it be beneficial at all for us to drive around the neighborhood looking for places for rent?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that we're looking for a 1.5 or 2 bedroom place and we're not able to move until May 1st. Hopefully, there will be more available around that time.

My choice would be the Mexican War street. Loads of character, very historic, beautiful town houses, row houses and very inexpensive to buy into.
