I drive all over the greater Pittsburgh area for my job. I've lived and driven all over the country and never before have I seen lazier or more thoughtless use of turn signals. Do me a favor: give me a little notice and apply your turn signal before you plan on turning, not after the light turns green and I've been waiting behind you assuming (because your turn signal was not on) that you are going straight through the intersection. If I had known you were going to make a left turn, I would have opted for the right lane so I wouldn't have to wait for you. Thanks.

You should hold a class on this or something. God forbid you are held up by 15 seconds when driving.

I love the people who basically put on their turn signals halfway through a turn. Nice of them to note, "Hey, I used to be going that direction!"

After driving all over the country, people should be happy that this city actually uses turn signals.

Exactly! I'd rather any use of the turn signal rather than none at all which is what you tend to get more and more these days.

I think people should be required to retake the driving test every so often. Much gets forgotten and bad habits get ingrained after you prove your worth at 16.

Are you OK with the increase in taxes that would happen to pay for that additional overhead at the DMV?

I guess this issue does not apply to me then. I never use a turn signal.

Seriously, having driven in Pittsburgh a couple of times over the last year I found that more people use their turn signals in your area than in KC. Here it might be about one or two in ten that use one. That bad.

Where do you all see people using turning signals around here? I sure don't. And on the rare occasion that they do, they are 3/4 of the way in the lane they are moving in to.
