Some vets provide boarding for cats in addition to their regular veterinary practice. I would really like to find a vet who does this so that when I have to go out of town and board my cat (rarely!), I have the security of knowing there's a vet right there if she gets sick.

I'm in the East End but willing to travel. Can anyone recommend a vet who does this? Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

Many thanks!

Well if you're in the East End, you absolutely should take your cat to Dr Bebko at Cat Clinic. He's on Liberty Ave in Bloomfield, near the intersection with Baum. CAT CLINIC AND HOSPITAL I took my own cat there for several years but live too far for that to be reasonable now. There was a time that they did boarding at Cat Clinic. My cat stayed there once some years ago. Not sure if they still do though, you'd have to check with them.

It's probably not the only place, but there's a big vet clinic plus boarding place way out in the North Hills, Bradford Hills Vet Hospital. http://www.bhvh.net/ We had another cat, since passed on, that used to go to the vet there, and stayed in the pet hotel there as they call it. Was fine, but that would be a long way for you to go.

I'm guessing there are a couple of other such practices around here and there, but I highly recommend Cat Clinic to be your primary vet even if you need to board somewhere else. I would bet he knows more about feline medicine than anyone else in the area. There's nothing like being able to take the cat into a place where they don't have to worry about dogs (well, unless you have a dog at home too, in which case it probably doesn't matter so much).

I second the recommendation of the Cat Clinic. I also used them in the past and they are wonderful. There is definitely an advantage to having your cat treated by a vet who is a cat health expert. I had a cat who had been incorrectly diagnosed by another vet and Dr. Bebko literally saved her life.
