The GF and I went to the Commoner on Saturday night and it did not dissapoint. The whole hotel is beautiful and totally different than anything else we have in Pittsburgh. The restaurant is very swanky in a Pittsburgh type of way, it is definitley one of the nicest dining rooms in the city with a modern industrial but very classy look. We arrived for our reservation about 10 minutes early and they said they would be right with us. About 25 minutes later we needed to check in again becuas they must have forgot (It was extremely busy). When we were seated they picked up our first round of drinks and gave us a complimentary Salumi Plate (about a $40 dollar comp for a 15 minute wait). Their menu has some really unique offerings including the Short Rib Pot Pie($18) which my gf ordered and I went with the ribeye ($32), which was cooked perfectly. All in all I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 for my first experience, and would defintiely reccomend it.

Just had another great meal at Off the Hook today. Great salmon, batting 4 out of 4 when dining there. It's not in Soulless Cranberry but you can see it from the parking lot.

There's a pizza in there gg!!! There's no good pizza in Pgh ...

The bone marrow at Meat and Potatoes is one of my absolute faves. It's superb. Flintstones eating As are the soup dumpling at Everyday Noodles. Everything is pretty darn fine at both those places in fact.

"5. Wings at Sidelines Bar and Grill - With locations both north and south of the city..."
So which one is the South of the city location, Sewickley or Millvale?

14. Pastries at La Gourmandine French Bakery - Also one in MtLebo now on Cochran. Still haven't been to either.

"15. Beef Taco from The Pittsburgh Taco Truck" - Am I the only one that doesn't care for them?

It's pretty awesome. Their 'Big Mac' (huge macaron) is one of the best things I've ever eaten.

tried the new chinese place on shiloh street in mt washington. sesame garden is a huge step forward from the old chinese restaurant that it replaced. Interior is much nicer ( although not anywhere near super high end) than the former, and the food is 1000 times better. Its nice to have a decent option for chinese on shiloh street.

its byo alcohol at least for now. The owners said they may get a liquor license in the future but not for now.
