Hello!

I'm searching for a church that is welcoming to new people, positive and good for young adults. I would really like to find a church that has a good minister /pastor, one who is interesting and a good speaker. I am also looking for a church in or near the city of Pittsburgh. I know it's a long list! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!!

Aly

My old thread might help you

Looking for Church with young people (20 somethings)

You might like Pittsburgh East (3 locations, so you should be near one of them)

Be blessed!

Yep. The Charlie Daniels Band won the contest.

Spelling aside...

By "the music" do you mean a band?
Many denominations have contemporary worship with bands now. So you really don't need to rule them out!

This is my church, and it is more than welcoming. Their statement of beliefs is on the website:

Agapé Life Church, Pittsburgh, PA

If you live in or near the East End, you'll find it easy enough to get to: it's at Porter Hall in CMU, and their ministry center is in Murray Avenue near the Greenfield border.

Thanks!

I think all churches see themselves as "bible based", sort of a subjective term there where its meaning varies by who is uttering it.

I suggested , and will repeat the suggestion in a previous thread of Mt. Ararat Church off East Liberty Blvd. as a really growing congregation that you might be interested in with a lot of activities. Dr. Curtiss is reported to be a lively speaker, and the church has had ads on TV to encourage new folks to come by.

And since you mentioned you like music, nearby the East Liberty Presbyterian Church has a very fancy pipe organ. ELPC was built by the ultrawealthy Mellon family, and if you like that kind of music you might want to go there.
