Click on the township for where the house is located and it will show the county, township and school tax millage rates for that area.
Thank you for responding.
On the site you linked, is there a way to see a particular house's assessment? It seems like I can guess, because I have the millage rates, but I was hoping I could get more precise.
To make my point clear, let's say I was looking at a house that was not for sale in Mount Lebanon and wondering about their tax bill. From the site you linked, I can see that Mount Lebanon has the following rates for 2012: county: 5.69; muni: 5.43; school: 27.13. To get the house's overall tax bill, you need to multiply those numbers by an "assessed value." I was wondering if there was a public resource to get the assessed values on houses that are not for sale.

Thanks a million.
If you do the math, you will be precise. There's no way around doing the math.
You can get the assessment values for all houses in Allegheny County via the first link provided by pickledtoes.
Then use the link I provided for the millage rates.
You can subtract 15k from the assessed value prior to calculating the county tax if you claim the homestead exclusion.
This does not apply to the township or school taxes.
Be forewarned, your taxes will be ultimately based your PURCHASE PRICE so all of this research is moot.
To be totally accurate and safe, use the millage numbers to calculate taxes based on the purchase price you hope to buy a potential house.
Looking at other houses in the street or township is irrelevant for taxes but can help you determine an appropriate offer price.
If you overpay for your house, you will be paying based on what you paid, not based on what other people's houses are worth.
Use the assessment page to research the assessed value of whatever home you want in Allegheny County, multiply by the tax rate, and you have the tax rate. You can look at neighboring homes if you want, just use a different address (or leave the number portion blank and it will list all the properties on the street). Most (all?) homes also have "comps" listed.
Couple caveats
1) As you are probably aware, properties were recently reassessed for the first time in many years so 2013 taxes may be substantially different than 2012 taxes (for better or worse). For figuring future taxes, you need to use the 2013 reassessment value and the 2013 rates (which far as I know aren't available in their final numbers for every location yet, although estimates are out there).
2) If you pay more or less than the assessed value of a home, the taxes could potentially be adjusted up or down. If you pay less than the assessed value, you would need to file an appeal. Your taxes will likely be adjusted to whatever the value of your appraisal was. If you pay more than the assessed value, one of the government bodies (usually school board) may or may not appeal your assessment and get your taxes adjusted up to the purchase price.
You can figure out Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Washington, and Westmoreland County taxes if you would like.
