I saw the sold sign . . .

Church Brew Works owner invests in Downtown - Pittsburgh Business Times

They don't seem to have any immediate plans to change use of the building, but I am glad it was bought by someone who thinks it is cool (because it is!).

Well, this doesn't necessarily mean that he's looking to expand his very successful Lower Lawrenceville business venture Downtown. It is good news, though, that this historically-significant building was purchased by someone with an appreciation for its architectural detailing who also has a good track record for preservation.

Great news! This is one of my favorite buildings. However, I thought it was built in 1877, not 1884.

No, No, I was born before the Civil War. Hello, I am Scarlett O'Hara.

Oh, I think I just made us surge back to the top 10 in the gayest city rankings.

Hopefully this move won't mean the eviction of Monte Cello's or Sree's, 2 popular luncheon locations in the area, any time soon.

I'm guessing there might be a change in the drink menu, though.

From the article:

"Casey bought the building along with other family members as part of Flat Iron Partners LP with no immediate plans for change at the property, which is occupied by two restaurants on the first floor and is about 80 percent leased overall. He said he was drawn by the building’s architectural charm."

So it doesn't look that way. Especially any time soon.
