It was on the news today that an egg has been sighted in the bald eagle's nest in the Hays neighborhood. It is expected to hatch in late March. These eagles and this latest news has been meant with a lot of excitement. Bald eagles have not been seen in Pittsburgh in over two hundred years. This is proof that the city of Pittsburgh has never really progressed in two centuries. There should be businesses and dwellings on that hillside. How many other major cities have bald eagles nesting within city limits? To have that much desolate space within the city makes Pittsburgh more like the open spaces in the midwest rather than the dense city it claims to be. Don't let the cheerleaders fool you into thinking it is about cleaner air and water. It has everything to do with never changing since Colonial times. Otherwise, there would vibrant businesses or housing adding to the tax base like in other cities, rather than a stupid eagles nest. Right zman? I mean, Does Columbus have this anything like this? No, because it is a progressive city.

Don't be silly, I just saw a list of the Top Ten Places in Pittsburgh to Not See a Bald Eagle on BuzzFeed this week. This totally disproves your point and I am sure even Katiana would agree.

Plus, whenever Bald Eagles show up, the Amish follow.

Also, the eagle that you saw, was it a gay bald eagle, and is it refusing to be integrated into mainstream bald eagle society? What does it think of Peduto so far? Why am I the only one among all these stupid lazy hipster Yinzers that care about these topics?

This topic is a joke right? Thanks for the laugh!

I was thinking about these birds of prey the other day. People are all excited to see them and we think it is great. What if one takes out your little dog hanging out in your backyard? Don't think it can happen?

We have quite a few hawks in the 'hood and our neighbor will not let her small dog out of the house.

The truth is, the eagle wants a good perch to keep an eye on it's offspring as they attend university across the river in Oakland. That is the only reason that they are in Pittsburgh. After graduation, they are outta here like all graduates.
