Yeah I'm with TheYO but Squirrel Hill South and the other 89 neighborhoods are all pretty terrible lol jk. We call the 412 a Fourth World Area Code
When I was younger I would have been all over this thread, but places like Garfield & Knoxville, or Homewood & the Hill are still communities with mostly wonderful residents. So there's no need to label them as godforsaken areas. If there is another thread about high crime areas of Pittsburgh or gang affiliated areas of Pittsburgh I would participate with my opinions and knowedge. But there's no need for me to participate in this thread regardless if the OP is legit or not (ie a llort for you smart people).

If this person is not a llort, google 2014 Official Allegheny County Crime Map (it had 13,000 views before google remodeled it). There I have a fairly accurate list of ranking local rough areas.

Really depends on what you're looking for in a neighborhood.

Garfield and Knoxville are good places to get shot, South Side is a place to go if you'd rather have your car puked upon, Shadyside is an area oozing with smugness, Cranberry has soullessness, Esplen is a great place for general dilpidation.

Pittsburgh has no single "worst" neighborhood, depends on what you are looking to avoid.
