The interiors of the houses in Deutschtown must have gone to total crap compared to Allegheny West and the Mexican War Streets, because I seldom see anything with an original interior on the market there. This is the only really nice one I've seen in like the past year. I could have afforded it too. Still sad my wife was still anti North Side when we were looking at that point.

Oh, they mean they left some of the "old house details".

What is a fireplace bump out? Where they stripped the plaster? If so, that is a very 1970s bit of renovation!

This is a perfect example of the breed of especially insipid renovations permeating in the East End (HP, East Liberty, and L-ville). Really crappy low brow renovations marketed in the $400-500k range. They didn't even both to upgrade the chintzy little wire railing and posts on the porch. Dull and expensive.

Oh, I was looking at the wrong link! Yeah, those are weird.

And I just want to go on record, that I hate those long, thin, horizontal tiles that are such a thing these days in kitchens and bathrooms. Bleah!

Well a couple gallons of gray paint, some dark cabinets, and a box of beige tile and you can flip a house these days.

This flip that just went on the market near where I currently live likewise made me laugh
153 S 15th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 is For Sale | Zillow

The pics don't do it justice of how fugly it looks on the outside. I likewise wouldnt trust the interior work as the work was done in a very short time period.

Oh god. 100+ years old, no parking, gross exterior, on a street that probably never gets plowed, last sold for $52k..... all this for a low price of nearly half a million dollars.
