I think the most important part starts at 3 minutes. They the leaders are stating that the future of pittsburgh lies in what cities like stockholm and coppenhagan (both swedish cities ?) currently are now.Sounds like a really progressive idea.I hope they follow through.

People, you need to shift the thought process of the culture at large.

Sorry, bike haters, but it means more compact living, using bicycles, and simplicity, rather than monster commutes...I don't want to start an us vs. them over this - I love alla yinz.

Also, it will require more spending on public improvements - better public spaces, better ped movements, etc.

The video is something to get excited about, but I don't think it possible unless there is a continued ebb towards more acceptance of progressive policies.

It is the only place in the world I have been run over by a bicycle. The Danes are evil

Geography fail aside, I think that sounds like a great idea--let's start with universal health care!

Nice vision. I am pretty impressed with Peduto and feel Pittsburgh could really be a city that could even compete on a global scale. Change is always tough on the old rut seekers, but if we really want Pittsburgh to be a destination and a place young people with bright minds want to live, we do need to create something like a Copenhagen. We need all the help we can get with a super low volume airport and a challenging location and emulating Nordic and Scandinavian countries is the right path. They are way ahead of us in so many ways.

Yinzers want their CARS! Damn-it and they feel entitled to their Free Parking when they come into the city for which they pay NO TAXES to.
