On an individual level you might be right. Maybe the guy who wrote that letter stuck it out for decades before moving to Cranberry. But in aggregate, people moving out was the reason it went downhill, not the other way around. And "went to ****" is pretty strong...you can still have a decent life living in Brightwood.
