Wow, these guys aren't even apologetic, if this isn't a true hate crime I don't know what is. Such tough guys picking out an elderly target, see how that works in prison...

Thank you! I'll replace white-trash/redneck/yinzer from now on with "differently-mannered melanin-challenged individuals".

I don't care if the attackers are from Pittsburgh or somewhere else. The fact is that they came downtown and the Northside for the concert and/or tailgating.

Here is some food for thought. What if there was a rap concert at the Consol Arena, and a group of black youths beat a white man and threw him on the tracks? Do you think this concert would receive an invite the following year?

As a resident of the city, I find this behavior unacceptable. I don't care how much money the event claims to bring into the city, it just is not worth the cost.

That's right. This IS a poor reflection on the region regardless.

If the scenario (the Chensey show legacy here) was flipped, and this was a rap concert, the city would call in the National Guard.

I'm glad they tacked ethnic intimidation on to the list of charges. They need to throw the book at those thugs. Thank god the victim survived and that there's presumably clear video suveillance footage as well as police testimony to nail them with.

If they're unapologetic, that's a perfect opportunity to hit them with the maximum possible sentence.

In the meantime, Kenny Chesney can go perform in Burgettstown.

These guys were younger than I expected. Why pick on the old guy though? Considering there are many black 20 somethings that hang out at that T station. Why not take your frustrations out on someone your own size? I am going to assume these punks knew who to NOT pick on.
