So it turns out I think motorcycles can use the bike lane. Either that, or the police just look the other way. I noticed it before but thought it was a one time thing, but then saw it again while there was a city cop in the car lane. So I was able use them today with my motorcycle, and it was awesome. I saved a ton of time on my commute. It's like having the best of both worlds...I used the one on Negly Run, and then the one in Bloomfield.

...thus showing your utter disregard for the expectations of the public space. Congratulations, I guess, in finding a shortcut at the expense of others' safety and comfort... but your pride in doing so seems misplaced.

No, it was fine....whenever I saw someone on a bike I just merged into the regular lane.

I'm pretty sure that the police won't look the other way if I go there.

That was my intent in suggesting it.

Well, obviously I won't ride there as I don't want to get a ticket.

I'm safe in the bike lane...I've already seen the cops not do anything about it\!

Yes, but Bike Pittsburgh hasn't started calling the city on this yet. Which they will if they see it very often or if somebody from there mentions this on their message board. Because there is an overlap (not me).
