Is there anything interesting on the ballot Tuesday? Is there a place where we can see what all is on the ballot before we show up?

I'm wondering this myself. I think there's a hotly-contested state judge race between Dougherty, Donohue, and some other names, and that's about it. Supposedly I'm being advised to vote for Deb Gross in City Council District 7, but I didn't think she was already up for re-election?

She might be, her predecessor quit, so it could be an abbreviated term of office.

Although, as a Democrat, she's almost assuredly unopposed so she won't sweat it if you forget.

It's actually a very high stakes election, as it will rearrange our courts and deal with Pennsylvania's extreme case of gerrymandering by Republicans:

2015: Not your usual "off year" election » peoplesworld

This is probably more important than the presidential election, at least if you think locally (transportation funding, budgets getting passed, etc)

Thanks for this! I've voted in every primary and general election since turning 18 in 2004, and this was the first one I was going into thinking "boring!!!" Didn't realize this judicial race was so important!

Assuming you live in Allegheny County, the polling place locator will also let you view a sample ballot.

Search for Polling Place

I am hoping for a complete gridlock government and that is how I will vote. I am not a fan of Wolff, nor am I a fan of the other side, so I want NOTHING to get done. That will provide stability.

Having no budget is not stability. It's an embarrassment.

Embarrassment to whom?

I don't think its particularly "embarrassing" that there are sharp divisions between the two parties.

If they were in perfect agreement, it would be pretty pointless to vote at all.

As far as the state government, I'd say that the voters voted for deadlock.

They voted for Mr. Wolf, but they also voted for an increased number of conservatives in the general assembly in the same election. Seems like almost a mandate for the result we got.

I think many people may have more simply voted against Corbett rather than for Wolf.
If the Republican Party were smarter they would've realized how horrible Corbett was and ran another candidate instead.
