I'll be staying in Pittsburg this Sunday. I'll likely get in around 2pm and will have several hours to explore a little. I'm staying at a Hampton Inn - West Waterfront Dr. I'm not looking for a fancy restaurant at all. I'm looking for the go to place for either Pizza, Hot Wings or Burgers without having to drive a long ways. Any suggestions?

I like Burgatory right in that complex. You can walk to it.

What kind of distance do you want to travel? I agree with Jay that the Burgatory is a solid choice, but if you have several hours do you want to get a little further off the beaten path? If so, you might try D's in Regent Square; it's a good local spot in a nice neighborhood. Or if you want a really cool dive for some pizza, you might explore Big Jim's in the Run.

Go with Burgatory if you want something really close by, but if you have a GPS and want to see some Pittsburgh neighborhoods within a 20-minute drive, I would pick one of these.

That would be Pittsburgh (sorry, I'm from there originally and we get testy when folks don't spell it right ) - If you were staying a little more outside the area, I could direct you but I would think it that area there are lots of places. Looks like a nice area to be staying in a hotel.

Also, from your location Voodoo is an excellent option for a beer.

I would go to VooDoo Brewery you can walk and also Blue Dust in walking distance as well. Both are good. Burgatory is just a burger joint, but pretty good, it doesn't have a Pittsburgh vibe, because those places can be found anywhere really. If you do drive in Homestead beware, the cops are all over people there and will pick you up in a NY second for any little thing.

There's that new Primanti's in the Waterfront, too. I don't usually recommend it for the food, but it's a Pittsburgh thing, so there you go.
