Corporate welfare does indeed work. Your personal feelings against UPMC keeps you from realizing that.

Since you can’t afford UPMC insurance, you can always find a job that has UPMC insurance, though.

That grand marquee 60+ floors atop the Steel (really UPMC) Building isn't cheap....

Being a businessman I might think the city would do a little better if they would pay some property tax. Kind of common sense. Billons in profit shows the could let the city have a little something, but maybe you are right and we should treat all big companies like we do UPMC. They would do great as well.

Highmark, also a non-profit routinely does 18 billion in annual revenue, but somehow, locals can only muster up hostility for UPMC.
