No, not “bingo”.

Don’t look at totals, of course totals go up with more testing. But how much did they go up versus how much did testing go up. Right?
I get that people struggle to set up word problems in math class, but this is fundamental.
You look at the percentage of people tested who test positive. Does it go up or down?
Not total, percentage. And the numbers I see are saying that the percentage goes up. I’ve seen nothing saying otherwise. So “numbers are just going up because of testing” is mostly wishful thinking.

More cases without dramatically increased hospitalizations and deaths are a good thing. Most people will get this virus eventually. I expect another big wave in the Fall. The only way to avoid another deadly wave is to have young healthy people exposed now while those of us with health conditions are still staying home.
