What % of those people were not from here to begin with? Do you expect most people to stay in the area they attend college? That is far from the reality for any university. Do you really think that more than 50% of MIT grads stay local after school? what about Harvard, Yale, Penn state? Michigan, community college, etc? People that leave home for school tend to leave again for work or to go back to where they are from. This is not a unique situation.

From the stats, the more elite the school you attend, the more likely you are to move further away after graduation.

One could conversely state that Pittsburgh is doing great by RETAINING around 50% of grads from the universities.

Hearing some rumblings that Tony Moreno may end up on the Republican or third party ticket for mayor. I’ll stump hard for him... I know people are just excited Dark Days Peduto will be out of office, but Gainey is just another left wing stooge and nothing would change or improve under him.

Like “Tony Moreno for Pittsburgh Mayor” on Facebook to stay tuned.
