Those dead-end streets off California in California-Kirkbride are very quiet yet very conveniently-located. It feels safer here than Marshall-Shadeland and is also cheaper than Manchester---by a wide margin.
Yes I think you're referring to that crazy nice grand Victorian on the hillside? That was listed very low. I though about making an offer but I was just so huge and I'm getting older... neat little area there. Love that the city has these tiny neighborhoods.. Kirkbride being one of many.

Yep. That's the one. I am very tempted personally by this new listing on Sunday Street next-door to it for $175,000. That's a fair price, and it offers a great blend of natural desolation and urban convenience.

Very very nice home that I'd buy if I wanted a second home. Nice value as well. They don't (and can't) make homes like this anymore. https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...2_M31242-05099

Wow. That's truly gorgeous. That's a decent price, too.

This is a surprisingly shockingly luxurious new construction home in the Middle Hill for only $1,635,000.

Yes, home is nice but it is Avalon so Northgate SD and their taxes. I'll be keeping an eye to see what it goes for though. To give you an idea, not even 1 block over is Avonworth and 126 Monitor Ave sold 2 months ago for $416k

I think this is actually for Memory Lane Court in the North Hills, not the Hill District.

Great house in Dormont - love everything other than the generic kitchen.

It's so easy to **** up kitchens on historic homes, doing something contemporary to the remodel which will look dated/awful in only a decade. If I had a spare $50,000 banging around I'd try and do a full restoration of my own kitchen to be closer to what a 1905 house is supposed to have while still being functional in a modern sense.

Yes to that. Kitchens and bathrooms don't remain even remotely historic on many these great older homes. And good chance the smaller high up windows in living room were once stained glass unfortunately.

Yea my wife and I are re doing our kitchen because the previous owners, while they did leave the original wood and the original cabinets, thank goodness, they made the rest too modern. Sooo, we’re going to fix that and bring it back to the old Tudor charm is needs We were like “we need to buy this home, to save it from these modernization creeps” lol. A guy died in our house (house is 1900) so every time we speak, we say “We’re going to fix this frank, don’t worry” haha.
