maybe one of you can school me on this subject

i live basically on fifth avenue in shadyside

as far as i'm i'm aware there's no water source or water tower above me

so how does the water get to my sink, shower, washing machine, etc..

it's not gravity so what? from a pumping station?

it's all a mystery to me...

Gravity fed from greentree water tower is my guess

Water is pumped to a tank atop a hill. As long as the pipe in your house is below that tank, you'll have pressure. You don't need to be aware of it and it doesn't matter how low the pipe is between the two.

i know DLC has substations around the city like this one in east liberty



but where is the power the east end relies on actually generated - in cheswick?

Um, only .5% comes from solar in PA. Not nearly 1%. Lol. Real world.

It could come from anywhere was my point. Once power enters the grid it all becomes one.
