still does not mean there is a case here...life is unfair, sure. the school district is trying to win the ghetto lottery with a bullcrap case.

why dont they look at sexualizing of young women by some female artists?
or, if there still is a 'gangsta' element in some music, that?
why dont they get strict with a dress code so some young women dont have the lycra (or whatever) creeping up their butt, but the more portly ones dont have to feel less beautiful....
why not a required class for all students on guns, their dangers, stuff like that?

just sue social media....so stupid.

Bingo…but some love to blame others and make excuses for those that are so weak and stupid and easily led.

You're missing the big picture. Everything is rated and age appropriate. Why does the Internet and media platforms get some pass? Remember how new this is and what it is clearly doing to young people with suicide and more.

You'll see. I am ALWAYS correct. This is just the beginning and at some point the billionaires will be regulated. It is 10 years out, but it WILL happen and this is how it starts. I know how things work more than anyone on here. Yield.

Who’s making folks log into media platforms, and please be specific?

You just don’t like folks making more money than you think they should. You’re hoping it happens, yet you have no idea of the earning capacity of those that are capable of making billions of dollars much less millions of dollars. While folks are making small money and thinking they’re making a small fortune, there’s a whole world of folks making money that folks only dream of. The ability to see 15 minutes in front of oneself goes a long way.

So....... PPS is suing online companies for the negative mental health impacts that those companies have on students.
Yet PPS, because its in a liberal area where only Democrats get elected, bent over backwards to appease the Covidists in the teachers union, and had completely ONLINE education for HOW long?? How much of a mental health impact did THAT have on students' mental health, and how much did THAT decision have on pushing kids to use social media even more than usual in order to maintain social contact with their peers??

What a bunch of incompetent, virtue signalling, hypocritical libtarts...

I very much agree here, but the very big picture is going to eventually be some regulation on what our young minds can see and be exposed to. Right now, they have no childhood at all unless the kids are living in affluent areas where a parent stays at home to raise kids, or they keep their kids so busy there isn't any time for kids to live virtually so much. This is a start of a process and will take a decade. What kids have access to at very young ages is clearly having a very bad affect on poorer communities the most.

None of this will affect the wealthier ares much as there are stronger parental involvement and just more educated people, knowing how to keep their kids too busy all the time.

Don't read into my view as much. I knew this process would come, I just didn't know how it would start. As hypocritical as it IS, that won't matter. All you need to do is show inner-city youth being affected by the mean rich white people and boom, you got the ball rolling. The left will eat it like candy if the ball gets rolling on an emotional level. With the left it is all about emotion and creating an enemy. Will the attorneys be able to create the enemy clearly this time? Guess we shall see. They have one thing in their favor. All the enemies are white men, so they have that going for them.

That will be part of the process. There will be some dumb regulation. Then kids will get around it and laugh. Then it will grow. The technology is there to stop kids, but we aren't ready for that yet, but we will be. That will be at least 10 years if not more though, but it is coming. Will be an interesting study. Someday it will take a fingerprint plus a few other hoops to make it way harder. Possibly credit cards and more. We have all the tech in place already and more is coming. 10 years.

to answer your question in bold - they dont get a 'pass', but they have FREEDOM. people who use the platforms have freedom of expression.
everyone has a freedom to NOT use what they do not want.
if things go sour, you stay away.

the 'bigger picture' is that this is just more entitlement - "this free stuff is there, it HAS to be the way we want it and the the government will help us".

no, facebook is not causing suicide....because you take facebook away, and there are still 100 other factors that may affect suicide.

why not ban casinos and online gambling? (i am not a fan of either...this is just an example).

my point is not the trash that the online social media CAN be if used by rotten users....rather, my point is the LAWSUIT and how the public school board is too big for its britches. they really should focus on the culture at hand and maybe dedicate 15 minutes a day to some kind of ethics/behaviour/kindness seminar or something.

(but then the lib-tards will call it promotion of religion or something like that.)
