It's going to be really nice for late October. Maybe a good time to go touch grass? Have a look at the forecast.

I'm going hiking. The rain isn't a big problem when it's warm. Plus, I've had six Covid shots, so I'm informed I'm going to die soon anyway. May as well let a bear get a chance at my snacks.

I'm just tired of killing those lantern flies. A few have hung on and are back.

Saturday is supposed to be nice in central Pennsylvania. You could catch the Penn State game.

having once lived there, you DO NOT want to be IN or AROUND state college, during a home game.

the 110K-ish in the stadium and the 10's of thousands of tailgaters in the lots anywhere near 30 miles of the place makes it most unpleasant....

If you ever need to feel the stadium rock on a 'WE ARE!...' chant sure. It will make you wonder if the engineers remembered to 'carry the 2'... but otherwise it is unacceptable for anyone over the age of 21, or sober, or both.

Good point. I'm leaving now in hopes of being on the other side of Happy Valley before the game ends.

Our son went to State Collage early 2000s ,a 12 hour trip one way from Northern New Hampshire. We did the Auto trip to scout the area and drop him off. Later we flew down in a Pvt , aircraft to University Park Airport ,nice ground staff and a 13 hour trip cut to 4 1/2 to 5 hours and a round trip in one day ,we never drove there again.

We were up in the Wilds last week. Sunday and Monday were chilly while the rest of the week was warm.

Last year at about the same time it snowed.
