Not sure why you quoted me.

I stated that Heaven was in the building that is now the Renaissance Hotel.

My description of the location of the Bank Center was to answer an entirely different question.

That's why I quoted two different people with my answers.

The movie theater was located on the second floor of the Bank Center, which is now the George R. White Theater in Point Park University's University Center.

I remember 2001 in Pittsburg, and 2002 that was behind Greengate mall, but maybe it was westmoreland mall... Well it's been a while. Iused to load friends from Bear Rocks Community, and we al went dancing at 2002, and sometimes saw movies at the mall. We all saw the original "Star Wars" at Greengate mall.
I think we watched it about 3 times in a row, all of us compleatly mesmerized !!!

Went to the VIP north in Hampton in the 80's great place to be on Sundays. The under 21 crowd packed the place every week to watch the Break-dance teams like the mid-town rockers. The french Connection from the North hills area (Hampton-Shaler-west view) Some real good Break-Dance battles took place there! My sister was in love with the 2 Brothers from the French Connection group all I can remember is their names were Tom & Dave they were good back then. Miss Shaler Skateland as well.

Hubcaps became the name in the late 80's

That video of break dancing reminds me...

Remember the overweight older white guy who worse suspenders and was break dancing at the bars in the 90s?

I think it was the 90s. Might have been the 80s.

I think there were at least three VIPs in the Pgh are in the late 70's/early 80's. In addition to the one mentioned in Hampton, there was one in Bridgeville in the Great Southern Shopping Center and one in Baden. Zelda's Greenhouse on Bouquet in Oakland (now the 5 Guys Burgers), Froggies in downtown, the Greenery in the Greentree Holiday Inn and the Bridgeville VIP with Chilly Billy on Saturday nights were some of the most popular places in Pittsburgh in the 80's.

Remember the Pinball Wizard in Cheswick underneath the Ches-A-Rena? It was mostly a place to play Pinbal and the newfangled video games like Space Invaders or Pong, They also had a dance floor playing the hits that we would hear on 96 Kix and other songs from the disco era.
