Yes and if they had cooperated they would have probably walked or gotten a ticket at the most but NOOOOOO, they had to be hooligans and law breakers, by resisted arrest, interfereing with that arrest and assault of a LEO. Yes she got what she had coming.
i won't get into specifics, but there was a situation in my past where i had to restrain a woman who was being belligerent, and i was able to do so WITHOUT hitting her. i've watched the video several times now, and it appears to me the officer let his obvious frustration get the best of him, and according to most of you, that's okay.
You dealt with one woman, he was being attacked by 2 woman and he was surrounded by a hostile mob.
My guess is that you didn't have a side arm that you may be concerned may be grabbed.
Did you get a load of the size of that young lady??!! The cop was surrounded by an unruly mob, someone big jumped him and he punched the hulk. Completely understandable.

i don't have any type of general anger towards law enforcement. there are plenty of professional, respectable police officers out there. i just doubt this guy is one of them
Al, in two of your posts now, you have referred to the police officer as a "pig". I am sure you are not unaware that that term has been used in a derogatory manner to describe police since the late 1960's.
I'm sorry that you are so outraged at the officer's reaction in this case. I, on the other hand, am shocked that these two women thought it was OK to resist arrest and push and shove the officer. If these women wanted to be treated in a respectful manner, they should have acted in a respectful way themselves. No one likes getting tickets. During my last speeding ticket, I wasn't over the moon myself, but do you think I flung my car door open and advanced on the trooper to protest? I have no death wish, so the answer to that question is no.

She deserved it and I hope she is convicted for assaulting the police officer. I also hope she gets beat up in jail too for being a ignorant person. I would be interested to know the education level of this woman. I would bet a heck of a lot of money that she is probably a high school dropout.

you've got to be kidding me. at the time he began dealing with second girl, the first girl had backed away and was no longer making any type of threatening movements until he decided to throw a punch
unruly in what way? by holding up camera phones and telling the officer to stop?
