Christians go too far with barbaric Sea World whale stoning aspirations

There are extremists in every group for sure. Putting everything into a religious context is their worldview. Just as there are extremist animal rights activists, and treehuggers, who are just plain kooks on every level. And in this country, we ALL have a right to our own opinions. Unrelated to any religious practice, animals known to be at risk to humans are commonly put down. Taking things wholly out of context, whether "religious" or atheist, is dysfunctional. Dumb thinking and dumb acting by some extreme religious group doesn't equate to a government takeover. That is pure nonsense and paranoid thinking. Try to get a perspective on reality.

Exactly! If America were a Theocracy as these Muslim countries, we would be practicing cruel and unusual punishment for "moral" crimes as well.

It is a fact that our government, through laws of its own, has basically put a stop to religious inflicted punishments.

So, according to what you wrote, the Hebrews were not "God's chosen people" but rather, they were extremists.

The Koran follows many of the "stories" written in the 'holy' bible. Im sure there are extreamist christians who would like to bring that piece of fiction into the laws of every nation.

Really? Then why were Iranian protesters looking to America for support and help?

Quote:
But, for the first time anyone can remember, they also yelled, “Obama, Obama! Either with them or with us!†The “them†in the chant means Ahmadinejad and the regime writ large.
And what was Obama's response?

Quote:
President Obama reacted standoffishly to this summer’s contested election in Iran, implying that he didn’t want to poison the cause of protesters by associating them too closely with the United States.

Baiting over. Your agenda is stale and saprophytic. The task for you today is to shed yourself from the stranglehold of your oppressive ideology. And recognize when the pot is calling the kettle.

But America is not a theocracy! And for a reason. Show me one Christian theocracy except the Vatican State.

Christian and Jews are capable of separating religion from government.
Israel is a Jewish state, but is also a state for all of its citizens regardless of their race, religion, or sex.
That is why Muslims, Christians, Druze are able to vote and get elected freely.

Here is an example of what Christians might do about their perceived "moral" crimes if our country did not protect human rights!

Quote:
Homosexuality is already a crime in Uganda, with punishments going up to life in prison, but politicians in Uganda are looking to making life even worse for gays. Under newly proposed changes both "repeat offenders" and HIV+ gay men would be sentenced to death. Anyone who argues on behalf of equal rights for gay could go to jail for seven years -- and even if you simply know someone is gay but don't report it, that could mean prison time as well. A new crime called "aggravated homosexuality" would be created, which would apparently impose more prison time for anyone who first buys a person a drink before having sex with them.
Quote:
The extreme situation in Uganda has been fostered by evangelical Christians from America. Lacking America's Constitution and long tradition of respect for civil liberties, the extremist views of Uganda's evangelical Christians is being taken to their logical extreme -- and apparently with encouragement from those same evangelical Christians, in particular the notorious political group known as The Family. Look to Uganda for a preview of what these evangelical Christians want for America.

Many do not even know and what is even more pathetic, is the fact that they do not want to get educated with the facts.

How far back in history did you have to go for that? Point is, Christians do not embrace that type of violence and retribution in today's society. We embrace freedom, hence why most nations with Christian majorities are NOT theocracies. Can't say the same for Islam and muslims. With the overwhelming majority of the country defining themselves as Christian, surely these Christians could impose a theocracy here in America if they really wanted to, no?
