Tauro, Joseph L.

I'm sure the judge will appreciate your correction. Hurry!

I have no idea what you're arguing for. This was obviously a good decision for same-sex marriage supporters. Again, I guess when you lose, you have to come up with something to make yourself feel better. I understand - I've been there.

Why the feds can just simply put on conditions that the money can only be used for heterosexual couples. So is it a big lose? No, not really because it really won't change anything.

It changes a lot, actually. There are over 1000 federal benefits given to opposite-sex married couples. This decision now grants those federal benefits to same-sex married couples too.

It is a states rights matter but I dont think politicians should be making the choice. I think the citizens of each vote ( those that havent already) put it on the ballot and lets vote and people accept the outcome whatever it maybe.

Federal gov has no business one way or another getting in this issue.

Democrats don't want to let the people vote because they know the people will reject same-sex marriage. Look at so-called gay-friendly California. Yet the LGBT crowd continues to want to ignore the people's will. I hope the decision by the judge gets appealed.

Wrong. As has been said tirelessly, the rights of minorities should not be decided by the tyranny of the majority. If you insist on having these popular vote elections, you will eventually have the same sex marriage side win, since old ppl are dying off every day. We Americans spend too much time on these silly issues instead of working to solve important matters that affect us all. We're ALL Americans, let us have our rights! what's so difficult about that?

Did you just equate LGBT rights to the Civil Rights struggle in the 60s? If you did, hope you know that is very insulting to black people and other minorities

Each state has a right to decide how they handle the issue. I could make the opposite argument that you're making and say, "Same-sex marriage opponents are afraid of the judicial branch of government because there's a good chance they'll lose."

So? I find the anti-same-sex marriage comments very insulting to homosexuals, bisexuals, and same-sex marriage supporters, but I accept your right to speak your mind.
