Argentinian video on marriage equality. [1 MINUTE AND 7 SECONDS]
Pretty amazing for a country that under martial rule not that long ago. Although, maybe it takes a complete loss of rights to understand how important it is that everyone should have them.
So denying gay people the same privilege/right to marry the person they love is both decent and sane? I think it's just the opposite. Not to mention unconstitutional. Some may not think that marriage is a right, but equal protection under the law most certainly is....
For many marriage is a religious sacrament. Therefore many find civil unions amoung same sex couples acceptable where the sacrament of marriage is not.
In my opinion, if you are not religious, take it to city hall and get a civil union (regarless of your gender preference). On the otherhand, if you are religious, keep it in the church and keep marriage in accordance with what is holy.

Many reform synagogues and more humanistic leaning churches perform same sex weddings. What about these? If you can find a church willing to marry two gay people that should be just fine according to your logic.
I have no problems with civil unions, except those are being rejected as well-- Laura Lingle vetoed civil unions in Hawai'i just last week.
Lol @ Argentina being considered "progressive." Argentina is notorious for being one of the most racist countries in the world and there have been many well publicized fights between Argentinians and others who have mistakenly called them Latino or Hispanic. Great, they treat gays well, they treat blacks and mestizos like garbage.

Remember "many, many" from Argentina are escaped Nazi descendants. I have lots of nice Argentinian friends but all of them are either of German or Italian decent. Again, very nice but with a bit of a superior attitude.
