At least around here you have to sign your name and they compare it to the signature on their forms. If it doesn't match they ask for ID. I don't see how this has to do with dems fighting anything, you've stated nothing on your accusation.

Yes they should.

Democrats want every possible vote and don't really care if it's a legal vote or an illegal vote.

They want to win by enabling the dead, the illegal aliens, the felons, those who vote multiple times, and even imaginary people who do not exist. If we had to provide an ID to vote to prevent fraud, then many votes the dems currently depend upon would be lost.

Well that depends on the law. Reasonable methods wouldn't offend me, but some permit all sorts of abuse and manipulation.

Some laws are written, deliberately, to make it harder for certain classes of people to be able to exercise their voting rights.

Remember the poll tax?

Do you really want this man to not be allowed to vote? With no permanent address, how would you propose he get this I.D. you think is so critical to being able to vote?

The right are so full of crap on this thread it's not even funny. I guess they're quick to forget all those "lost" votes in the 2000 election under good ol' jeb bush's state.

yes and a poll tax or a poll test would be wrong

but to properly identify your self as being who you are and where you RESIDE (congressional districts) should not be a problem.......even people who dont drive can get a state id from their states DMV....and I do think they should fix a national STANDARD

Provide proof that any of those categories of people have actually been allowed to vote. Provide proof that it's DEMOCRATS who perpetrate this kind of voter fraud.

And let me be clear from the start -- voter REGISTRATION /= actually VOTING.

Minnesota had a heated US Senate race that Al Franken won by a very narrow margin.

It is now said that many felons who were ineligible to vote , did vote.

I'll bet my bottom dollar most felons would vote Democrat.
