The F-22s are a master piece of engineering. I can't wait to read about how they do in the exercises.

I am not surprised frankly... The whole North Korea problem shows that those involved have learned nothing from past disputes. Saber rattling won't solve this conflict, either.

No, it wont. But it might make them shut up long enough for my boyfriend and our friends to get out and off that ship.

Will this pot-bellied little dictator dare to attack a US ship, like he did with S. Korea?

let them try. navy and marine corps F18 pilots would mop the skys of north korean planes, so the F22 would not even be needed, but if the F18's could do it, the F22 could do it rather easily.

saber rattling is a time honored tradition that really does work, most of the time. usually both sides flex their muscles, rattle their sabers, and then go home.

North Korean leaders are not exactly known for rational thinking. This whole thing could go terribly wrong.

While I dont want any new wars, we can not back down to the evil trash that is North Korea. It still boggles my mind how they got away with torpedoing a sub killing many South Koreans. How the hell do they get away with that?!?!?! They should have been dealt with immediately after that. That, to me, was a deceleration of war.

US Navy aircraft carriers don't travel alone. The ships that travel with the carrier are heavily armed. Though the Navy won't say so, they probably have a sub or two traveling along with the battle group as well as ships with anti-submarine capabilities. If there's an amphib battle group in the area, then you're throwing in some Cobra attack helicopters and more missiles. Navy ships have anti-missile defense systems.
