BS what's next a Japanese church at Pearl Harbor? sometimes you have to man up and say to hell with PC, and show respect to our dead. don't need no stinkin mosque there
unbeknown to you, there are several Buddhist based churches and Shinto churches around and near Pearl Harbor. there is a HUGE Japanese population jsut a stone throw from Pearl harbor and Hikam Air Force Base (Salt Lake)
Unlike you intolerant ninnies, Hawaii didn't blame the ENTIRE Japanese American populace for what Japan did. Many of them were 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation removed from Japan's influence, and the 442nd, the MOST DECORATED squadron in all of World War II, consisted of many Japanese Americans, MOST came from Hawaii.
You may want to know learn the DIFFERENCE between Islam and RADICAL ISLAM (the religion that the 911 highjackers followed)

Not one has answered why THIS location is so important other than to falsely try to turn it into a 1st Amendment arguement.
This location is important because the space has been in use as a Muslim meeting place for years.
I don't think it's a 1st amendment argument- I just think it's a litmus test for worth as a human being. Those that cry the loudest about the community center (often making threats of violence or inappropriate behavior along the way) don't count for much in my book. My people have been discriminated against based off of the actions of a few for thousands of years- to see that happen in a country that prides itself on it's freedom and tolerance towards others is an ABSOLUTE disgrace.
