I used to chuckle at the idea that left wing Democrats and Obama were out to damage our economy.

But looking at the last few years of Obama's accomplishments it really seems to fit. UE has gone up to 10+%, foreclosures are at record highs, RE is in the toilet and there are no initiatives to create any jobs. The only thing the Deomocrats seem to care about is PROLONGING the misery with UE benefits and more handouts to their special interests. Tax increases on job creators ($250k+), health insurance mandates and fines for employers.

What do you think? Is it still Bush's fault? Is it Obama's fault? Is Obama just incompetent?

poloitics i this country is driven by main street desires. f9r dacdes people have eben driven by wanting more to afford homeownership- for example. That influence government policy to create Fannie and freddie and of course programs to help with closing cost and even down payments at like 3.55. This vreated demand that included people who could not actaul;ly afford a home driving the numbers far beyond the 65% history owenership numbber that stood so long.Itw as from governamnts view a way of spreading the welth as houses appreciated and then zoomed. Most knew that they could really affords but took the risk as that saw people only faced with refiancing or selling at big profit. It was like any other bubble of people trytin to get in on the action. it does take but like 10% to really change things even with 90% not doing so. The they discovered borrowing from equity to buy other thngs in life such as cars or to paydown credit card debt. It did seem to hurt at all.The market6s basically will always joi in where theire is moeny to be made with governamnt wanting to guaranteee much of the risk.Everyone is at fault really altho those having the most influence like politicans be more so but rememebr that anone opposing the publ;ic wants would never get elcted really.Obam baci fault IMO is tht he took a model he thought would work that democrats had long favor and forced it thru with poor results that only made things worse especailly in jobs because of future risk to growth. We are sitting in a uncertainity policy wise as well as futre growth from the spending now that must be paid for in the future. it eqamns that job growth will be much slower because no company wants to risk getting on the edge again in a uncertqin economiy how and in to the forseeable future. Een individuals have started saving ans elminating debt to keep liablity lower i thsi uncertainity. Much of its has been created by the defcit spending meaning future cuts and taxes.

Only if the right wing set it up for them over the 8 years of the Bush administration.

I hear a lot of anger against both parties. Republicans think they can regain control, but some of the seats they pick up will be the Tea Party wing.

I think what Obama inherited is the fault of the Bush administration along with the Congress that aided him during those 8 years (regardless of who controlled at any given point in time). I think that Obama is doing the best he can to fix the economy, but that doesn't necessarily mean I would say Obama is exactly highly competent in economic matters. Regardless, it makes NO sense to purposefully destroy the economy. That's a surefire way to lose your seat and all your power - something you can't possibly believe any politician is aiming for.

How can it be purposeful when his party is threatened with losses in congress? It makes no sense.

Yep. He is doing it on purpose. Either that or he is a complete moron.

Politicians do stuff like this to steal more power for the government. Create a crises. Everyone expects the feds to fix it. Politicians have been doing this since the invention of government. Obama is nothing original.

all obama cares about is building a mosque near the 911 slaughter ,slandering the Mass. police and what ever else a community organizer does. screw the economy and unemployment and housing foreclosures. this man is useless ,we need a leader not obama. all the offshore oil workers that are loosing everything thanks to obama are real people too. and what about our open southern border man child? you are a useless POS that promises free welfare for votes
