Seems to me that you're as much of a race-baiter as anyone else for posting such a misleading post title. Can you honestly show us how Dr. Laura is a racist? I haven't seen it.
What Dr. Laura did was unacceptable! After listening through her archives she has presented herself on several occasions as the typical closet racist. This is why she seized the oppurtunity to drop the N-bomb 11 times towards a caller who simply asked her for advice. It is also why she unhesitantly attempted to degrade the NAACP, during another one of her racist rants.
Dr. Laura probably uses the N word freely among her family and like minded friends. She was no doubt burning to do something similar over the air, this caller afforded her the opportunity.
With Palin's remarks, it's just all about appealing to her base.

This doesn't surprise me. At. All. Is she ever going to just disappear? Doesn't the government have a department that is used soley for disposing of people?
Pardon my cynicism here, but I suspect that the whole "N" word contrroversy with Dr. Laura is one great big put-on. Many of those national call in shows have planned calls. Quite easily, this could have been a planned call with a very specific outcome in mind.
Reasons why? A multitude of them really, but the primary one is to revive Dr. Laura's defunct career. Afterall, when was the last time you even heard of Laura Schlessinger? Not very recently as she's been overshadowed by the Limbaughs/Hannitys/Becks of conservative talk radio.
This incident has put her BACK in the news. Now she's going to give up the radio show at the end of year to "regain her freedom of speech." Sounds like she's about to promote either a new show on SiriusXM radio and/or a new book coming out.
The more this incident gets publicized, talked about, the more we will hear about it. Free publicity for Dr. Laura.
Do you support Dr. Laura's "caller" then, you know, the African American? She used the N word 5 times in 5 minutes during that same call. Or does that just make her less racist?
Or does it apply to her at all because she happens to be black?

I wish you guys would *give it up* about blacks using the "n" word. Seriously can't believe that people are so dense that they don't get the distinction. It shouldn't be used by anyone, however just accept that it's ALWAYS a problem when non-Blacks use it. Geez!

Why would either of these be racist? I listen to R&B stations and *very* occasionally watch BET......I've never heard the "n" word. What shows are you watching where you've heard the "n" word"? That's usually reserved for premium cable channels (HBO, Showtime, etc).
