Now let me get this straight.
People want Muslims to follow our laws in our country, but we don't expect Americans to follow their laws and rules in their countries?
Is that about right?
If you leave the United States, its your responsibility to understand the customs and laws of the country you are entering. If you don't like them, or think that they are over the top, don't go.
How is this idiot viewed? As a stupid American. What is it that your mother always said..."don't go acting a fool in someone else's house", and "Be on your best behavior when in public".
The idiot deserves to be arrested and punished. If he didn't like it, he could and should have left.

That's just what we can expect if we allow muslims to invoke shariah law in this country--and they will demand to do so. Count on it. When there is a sizable population of muslims in an area, they'll demand shariah law.

Bull crap. The only law of the land is the law of the United States. NO ONE wants to change anything, except for the activist extreme wingers who crave to re-write history and change the law and intent of the founding fathers.

I like that. Now if only the immigrants that come into the USA and expect the USA to adapt to them rather than them adapting to the USA would just take note.
As far as the "remember how tolerant America is" I don't want to measure myself to Indonesia or Saudi Arabia.
Indonesia is one of the very examples the left uses to show that indonesia is a modern, non theocratic nation.... Remember, it is THE MOST populous muslim nation on earth...
If you're going to spout of that only a tiny minority of muslims are extremists, well, that's the largest muslim nation on earth.

Why was pork banned from school cafeterias in dearborn, MI in public schools and why was football practice moved to night to accomodate muslims during ramadhan?

So are you saying that christians don't enforce christian beliefs in communities that are majority christian? Ever heard of community standards?
That is a legal way to enforce your beliefs upon people who don't necessarily agree on it. As long as what you do is agreed upon by the majority and it is not unconstitutional you are allowed to do it. In many cases, because the community is so religious and nobody disputes it even unconstitutional actions (like putting the ten commandments on or inside a federal building) are allowed.
Building a mosque is not against the law just like going door to door trying to evangelise is not against the law.
