What does burning Q'urans achieve? What's the goal? What's the desired effect? What are the chances of achieving the desired effect? What possible other effects could result?

The point is......All we do is appease these muslims.....If burning there holy book pisses them off, then they need to get thicker skin!
They have no tolerance for non-muslims but they want tolerance from everyone else......Screw'em!!!!!

No, not enough explanation for me. He says he is doing this because he is fighting against Islamic extremists, but then goes on to say all Muslims are evil, but then goes on to say that all Islamic countries are evil. He doesn't seem to have a clear position, or else he is not being honest. He is also very poorly informed stating there are no churches in Iran or Iraq, which we all know is untrue.
The inbred, back water redneck will either back down or will be stopped by the government/law enforcement.
After watching the rambling ignorant press conference he just gave, announcing that the burning will go ahead, it's obvious he's just lapping up his 'glory moment'.

The last thing he said on Nightline was that if God told him not to burn the books, he wouldnt.
I bet $100 that 5 minutes before the Korans are due to burn, God speaks to him.
Oh, and the Gainesville Fire Dept wouldnt give him a burn permit.
