The Franklin quote clearly indicates that he is not a deist since he is asserting that God is active in the lives of men. Furthermore, the statement about a bird falling to the ground relates to the teachings of Christ.

So, Ben believed in God. So what?

Satan believes in God too. Heck, he's met Him personally! Does that mean anything he does is Godly too?

Which part of HistorianDude's post (#15) didn't you understand?

"Some books against Deism fell into my hands; they were said to be the substance of sermons preached at Boyle's lectures. It happened that they wrought an effect on me quite contrary to what was intended by them; for the arguments of the Deists, which were quoted to be refuted, appeared to me much stronger than the refutations; in short, I soon became a thorough Deist."

They don't understand unless you bombard them w/ 30 minutes of Anti-immigrant, American, minority, deficit (unless their creating it), government expansion (again unless they're expanding it), and commercials for gold. Then and ONLY then can you lead them to water. It's apparently how their brain function works for message clarity. Go figure.

how can one not assume that libs ar.e anti-God? Their entire ideology is based on that. THAT is the defining issue in America right now. You are either for policies that completely contradict Gods laws, or you are a conservative

But Conservatives think they're G-d and have the right to judge what is right and what is wrong before him. If the religious right took a few pages out of the Bible besides the ones condemning others once in awhile, we probably would have a kinder society.

Conservatives are fighting back The silent majority is fed up and finally standing up to the liberals. Ironically it is pres Obama who is responsible for the movement
Average americans are realizing that liberalism is NOT the answer.
