I agree. Frankly if something like this would take place I would just quit my job because why should I work a hard demanding job and not be payed fairly. And I am sure that I am not the only one who feels this way.

No.

This is a 100% tax of all income, it goes into the same fund as social security, Medicare, etc... The government will have all earned income, and they will decide how much we get and when we will get it. Once they are allowed to get all our money, they own us.

They can decide whether we get paid monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, and even what percentage of our money will be given out on any particular cycle.

Will overtime be treated as regular pay?

Maybe overtime should be once monthly or bi-monthly?

Maybe they need more time to decide compute the source of your per diem or company reimbursement from the business expense report you filed?

Maybe your bonus should be paid out over twelve months or delayed a few weeks or months as the government determines the validity of the compensation package?

The point is that all our income becomes the government's money, and who is to say they will not raid it like they do social Security or Medicare.

Well for one, this method creates another inefficient and most likely corrupt arm of government. (and who will oversee them? more government?)

Secondly, do you trust the same government to not make a mistake on your withholding?
Ever heard/known firsthand any IRS horror stories?

It gives them total control of your money and good luck getting it back if they make a mistake.
Of course stary eyed liberals believe government is infallible.

I don't think I really care what the source is, as long as my rent and bills get paid.

I was in the military--free food, free room and board. I even got paid on top of that. That was ideal to me.
