No I don't. The rates of unemployment for various European nations are posted in this thread and they are lower.

In fact the higher the social services, the better the health care, the higher the government spending ........the lower the unemployment rates.

It's the exact opposite of your right wing B.S.

Government spending and government provided universal health care go hand in hand with lower rates of unemployment.

The fact of the matter is Europe ( smeared by right wingers here as "socialist" and "communist") is doing better than the USA.

And they have universal health care!

And their government spending is much higher as a percentage of GDP!
You do realize Europe is moving away from the socialist model and cutting back on social programs right?

Austerity protests sweep across Europe as governments cut budgets

Perhaps if we folowed their lead we could cut our unemployment rate too!

No what you are describing is the ebb and flow of government spending.

It goes on here. It goes on there. Governments respond to yearly budget constraints and budget surpluses. Recessions come, recessions go.

The fact of the matter is their social safety nets are secure.

The European Union is at 9.7 and the US is at 9.6 based on the link you used as proof. I guess numbers don't matter anymore right, it's all about feeling right?

You posted a link that proves you wrong and you continue to fight, classic.

This is going to just put a big wrench in your scary stories about health care and government spending isn't it?
your link has failed, and now you flail.

aren't there some disgruntled, pot-bellied white men somewhere that you could blame this on?

NAFTA and automation have put pay to that. Forever. So, what do we do with the 'permanently' unemployed? I mean, really, what? You and I both know their chances for future work are zero. In most cases they were borderline in the jobs they had. Now those jobs are gone. So... do we shoot them? Put them down more humanely than that? Conscript them into the Army? What? If countries with 1/4 the GDP can care for their unemployable then why can't we? Now we are making the rest of the world restive with our collective fury. It is really the fury of the elite funneled through the middle class wing-nuts on the right who should know better. The elite will not be affected by massive social unrest or Global Depression. To tell the truth they are looking forward to it. They have become about as rich as it is possible to become on this planet and it's resources and to further distinguish themselves in wealth they now have to decrease the wealth of the rest of us.... ... already in progress. Some of you want to help them..
