Yep, I said it on that other thread about the MI judge's ruling, that at least one of the alwsuits would go forward. It's only a matter of time now until its struck down by the SCOTUS as unconstitutional.
Watch the spin, liberals here have been cheering over some of the left wing nut judges decision on many liberal ideals and when they see this they will go right after the judge. Wait and see.
I won't. I'll just be wondering why you all will applaud it after you call any judicial ruling striking down things like DADT, DOMA judicial activism, single judges usurping the will of the people, a mockery of our Constitutional system, etc.
Like it's said, judicial activism is when conservatives disagree with the ruling. Validating the will of the people is when conservatives agree with the ruling.

Validating the idea that government cannot make you buy a private product is the central theme of the ruling.

Actually that would be liberals who use such crap to determine if something is right or wrong. Many of us conservatives understand the will of the people is meaningless. We do NOT live in a Democracy.. We live in a Representative Republic.. learn the difference because if it was the will of the people, you wouldnt have things like challenges to "Proposition 8" moving forward...

This is a bit different, seeing as how it's just a ruling saying the suit can go forward, whereas the DADT ruling is liberal judicial activism.
Horrible news for people with pre-existing conditions, families with adult un-insured children under 26, people denied coverage even though they paid premiums, etc
The suit as I have heard involves the Cmmerce clause. The constitution give federal government the power to regulate inner state commerce. But the suit agrues that it can not force a person into inner state commerce;only regualte when a person engages in it. Then that the federal government can not force the states to increase their budget to pay for the increase in 2017. Mnay think that the regualtion only clearly sated in teh constituion will liill that portio of the bill and that the interferrance i sate budget will stop the bill because of teh cost to feral government to give every state what Nelson of Nebraska got in the bill.It will force the feds to fund any increrase instead of passing it on to states taxpayers.
