What's morally right trumps all military "honor". I hope his fellow soldiers do time for their assault.

a great deal of self respect can be restored when some of these men hold fast to good upbringing, and a conscience not yet corroded.

Does being a team player mean that you have take part in the murder, (for fun) of the civilians you are supposed to be protecting?

My observations have been that groups are more deficient at self-correction than are individuals.

A "team" has accumulative force and mass. And gravity.
