What exactly was the "harrassment" that poor Anita Hill experienced at the hands of Clarence Thomas, other than the fact that he joked with her after she had rebuffed his advances? Did he touch her? Did he threaten her? Did he promise special treament? No. He was an unattractive guy who was used by a slick woman to vault from a nowhere job at the University of Okalahoma to Berkeley to Brandeis, owing to her notoriety as a personification of liberated womanhood clumsily pursued by a dude she could use.

Was it just a coincidence that Hill had said nothing of their relationship until Thomas's confirmation hearings? Or was this an attempt by the left wing to replay their successful sabotage of Robert Bork's SCOTUS nomination?

Finally, if the issue with Thomas and Hill was the "power differential" argument used by feminists to justify double standards on the part of gender harrassment, why weren't the same voices which are raised against Thomas, arguing -- in this case absurdly -- that he should resign, raised against Bill Clinton who, with his Dockers down around his ankles, enjoyed the ministrations of Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office? Cat got their tongues? Or perhaps raising the disgraced wife of Bubba to Senator and Secretary of State, regardless of her having zero qualifications beyond being able to weep in a diner as her Presidential ambitions went up in smoke, was sufficient compensation....

Rather than running to the FBI (why? because someone dared to ask her to own up to her hypocrisy? Someone whose husband is routinely called an Uncle Tom and an ignorant tool by people surfeited by their own hatred of a man who refuses to kowtow to their prejudices?), Anita Hill owes us all an apology. A clearer case of crude ambition and the manipulaton of a media cowed by faux-feminist political correctness could not be conceived.

Yeah, and she didn't like seeing a strawberry-blond trophy prize running off with her ambition-mate.

Nobody sabotaged Robert Bork except for Robert Bork. It was never gonna happen, and Clarence Thomas probably shouldn't have happened either.

I don't like your "blame the victim" approach here. But anyway, that's not even what this topic was about. I was talking about how Virginia Thomas has some serious balls calling this woman after 20 years asking for her to apologize now. just... LOL.

Yes the feminists have quite the double standard. They make a big deal out of a couple crude jokes from many years ago, act like a bunch of old maid prudes yet not a peep out them over the antics of Bill Clinton.

And when a Duke feminist makes a raunchy and insulting very sexual presentation, it's all laughs and you go girl from the feminists.

Virgina Thomas is just another example of those whack jobs known as the Tea Party.

Justice's wife launches 'tea party' group - Los Angeles Times
Supreme Court Justice's Wife Embraces Tea Party : NPR

Its just scary that this whacko has direct access to a Supreme Court Justice.

"Virginia Thomas calls Anita Hill, asks for an apology?"

As my grandmother would say, "That's mighty white of her."

She also called Professor Hill's office at 6:30AM on a Saturday. Passive aggressive much? She clearly did not want to actually have to face Hill, even over the phone.

Hill said she turned over the voicemail to the campus police because she thought it was a prank. The campus police (or the FBI) verified that it was actually from Virginia Thomas.

Anita Hill doesn't owe an apology to anyone. I believe she told the truth in her testimony.

Obviously there is "something" wrong with Clarence Thomas -- look at who he married! A weirdo who calls up someone who testified against her husband 20 YEARS AGO and asks for an apology?

That was easy, there was nothing to tell.

She was one of the heads of EEO or something, and didn't file a report of that that didn't amount to anything.

Instead, she reported to congress what didn't happen.

Hey, I don't like Clarence Thomas, but Anita is just a wet cat.

So you are one of those that call others racists but you exhibit racist behavior yourself.
