Obama ran against Alan Keyes for his senate seat. I prefer Alan Keyes . Keyes Christianity did him in not his darker skin. Americans are more afraid of a Christian than a black person in politics.

I agree with this. I came in this thread to post that Obama is not light skinned. He is brown. My dad is much much lighter than he is and my dad doesn't even have a high school diploma. He does make good money though as a taxi driver (he owns his own cab). But I don't think his light skin has helped.
