Just in time for the 2012 election cycle, NPR plans to launch its ‘Impact of Government’ program funded by George Soros’ Open Society Institute.
ELIZABETH JENSEN at The New York Times reported on October 17 that NPR received a $1.8 million grant from the Open Society Institute which is funded by George Soros. NPR plans to use some of the funds to hire at least 100 journalists in all 50 states.

"In response to the dramatic decline in news coverage of America’s legislatures, National Public Radio kicked off aproject today that will provide in-depth reporting on government actions in all 50 states. The initiative, supported by a $1.8 million grant from the Open Society Foundations, aims to bring greater transparency and accountability to the workings of state capitals across the country."

Great. Just what we need. More Centralized Control & creation; ie. fabrication of local & state news coverage. Brought to us by those great purveyors of free speech who today fired one of there own for daring to speak an opinion differing from theirs. I love the Open Society Foundation's claim of working to "build...freedom of expression" - what a joke. More reasons to demand withdrawl of any government funding of NPR, halt any personal donations and turn off their stations.

The "point of view" you linked is straight from George Soros's website.
Yes - very good - you followed the link.
It is, as I said, another point of view. You have a problem with points of view that do not agree with your own? Some people don't like living in a democracy, I guess.
I'm just glad he's just a sensible clear thinking "world citizen" and not one of those corrupt, evil corporations with an agenda. Isn't it terrible how the influence of corporate money attempts to exact it's will, upon supposedly free citizens? I'm sure he and our president will have solutions in place for us all, soon. Get exactly what you deserve, vote for those who would impose their will upon you, in your home, in your work and in the rest of your life.
I'm sure it was just a coincidence that NPR fired Juan Williams a couple of days after George Soros gave NPR 1.8 Million dollars.
Soros funds Think Progress (they are the blog that started the War on the US Chamber of Commerce), just gave Huffington Post a Million dollars for their new "investigative department" and a Million dollars to Media Matters which spends ALL it's time in a War against FOX news.
Notice any connections? War on FOX, War on US Chamber? Who is out there promoting this besides Soros who provides the money for these "Wars"?
