They make these wild baseless assumptions for the same reason they have come up with wild baseless assumptions about what is "really" in the HC Law. Too lazy to learn the truth or the desire to believe the worst.

She would have been taught from day one that the military would be her best bet for work and if she came down ill while in, the government would be paying for it.

Nope, not jealous, retired Military and proud of it.

Hey the Military is looking for some able bodies to fill in. they would get three hots, a cot, an education & training, medical coverage and a paycheck ta-boot. Oh, and some self respect comes with it all for free.

Now if they are at home HELPING mom and dad, or just one or the other, then I salute them and their valiant act. But if they are just sitting around the house, wanting fed, playing the game boy, talking on the phone and do absolutely nothing. then throw them out and mom and dad go enjoy your new found and well deserved freedom.

The "kid" might also be in college and/or working and/or living away from home, too.

The kid can even help pay the insurance costs, nothing stopping him/her. I think the goal is to help ease the burden for families with a dependent who wants to go to/is in college, and recent grads with entry level jobs, as well as kids who are working low income jobs with no or not very thorough benefits. S/he doesn't have to be living at home.

May I ask, are the right wing blogs and TV programs telling or insinuating to their readers that this part of the Health Care Reform program will encourage deadbeat-ness, or is supposed to? Because it is absolutely NOT. If they are saying that, please don't fall for it

One certainly has to wonder why GOP would discourage higher education. Parents cannot afford to send their adult children "away" anymore to pay for dorms and/or apartments for fulltime students. More and more adult children are staying at home, going to their local higher education institutions or online higher education, AND working full or part-time as well, to help their parents pay for their education. It is taking adult children longer to get that Bachelor's degree, more than 4 years. Parents are doing themselves a service too, by keeping their adult kids home to finish their degrees. That piece of paper makes or breaks job applications today.

To the GOP, Education is a very dangerous thing.

Hmmm...aren't you the one who decried the use of 'wild, baseless accusations'...'too lazy to learn the truth, ready to believe the worst'??

Please provide some links showing the GOP regarding education as a very dangerous thing.

In the crucial weeks of 2008 the GOP promoted Joe the Plumber as their communication device of choice, not Joe the Semiotics Professor.

HC Law. Probably the largest single expansion of private insurance in the Health Care area ever, is called a Govt takeover. The exact opposite is true, yet the Repub leader in the Senate still is telling this outright lie. They abhor the suggestion that people educate themselves on the Law. If people did, the Repub lies would fall on deaf ears. So by all means, don't educate.

Fail. Try again...real simple.

Floridabob said the GOP considers education as a dangerous thing. Prove it.
