"The unpredictability and the peril would increase exponentially with Palin in the mix. This scenario might seem bizarre, but we live in bizarre times. At a moment like the present—when American politics is wildly polarized and unstable, populist fervor has gripped the right and left, and the economy continues to flatline—it’s worth contemplating how much weirder things might get in 2012, and whether that weirdness could be so extreme as to make the unthinkable thinkable.

That prospect is too frightening to even contemplate. Gives me bad dreams at night.

Rush and Alec Baldwin lied about leaving the country. If she becomes president, trust me, i'm outta here. And i'm most definitely not lying.

It could happen?
Everyone thought that Hitler was a freakin' joke too, in the 1920's.
And boy-o'-boy, did Adolph have his "populist" supporters also.
Gonna be a spike in the sale of Brown Shirts, should Palin get the GOP nomination in 2012.
Hmmmmm.....maybe I ought to buy stock in the garment industry?

You betcha.....Steve

Although it is to frightening to contemplate, it very well could be a possibility in our unpredictable times.
There is NOTHING that could ever persuade me to even consider voting for this person.

What is it with 529 threads about this woman? She is not running for an office, does not hold office, and has announced plans to run for office.

Obsession.

Give it a rest.

You will feel better.

If the people in charge, the ones who really run this country, decide to make her the next president, she will be made by the media and win it. There is nothing one can do about it. The media can make or brake anybody.
There is a reason all media is shouting in the same horn, they have a common agenda.

It's fun to watch, isn't it? All this useless venting and fuming keeping her name front and center on page 1 on C-D. Too many Joy Behar posts lately, gotta drag Sara back into the spotlight.

Can't someone start a Fox News or Glenn Beck thread to mix it up a bit?
