Well, Jose, why not give the Alamo to Mexico, they seem to be successfully taking everything else in Texas.
One visit to Galveston two years ago was enough for us.
So when in the history of Texas has no one had the name Jose?
In particular, when in the history of El Paso, San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, etc. have there ever not been any Joses? There are people in the Rio Grande Valley who are US citizens and whose families have been in Texas for many generations who don't speak English.
Does this mean that if I move to Texas I (as a White male) can take advantage of affirmative action and all the other special privileges granted to minorities since I would be a minority there?
Who declares which race is a minority ? The Fed Gov ?
I'm sure some people will be surprised looking at the Social Security Index for Michigan that not only is Mohammed not #1 there (which they probably believe to be the case) but there are no Islamic names anywhere on the list for Michigan for either sex.
Because now I'm mighty pi$$ed. For years I always thought the number one baby name in Texas was Clyde.
I'm glad George is not on the list. Not even in Texas.
Unpopular presidents can kill the popularity of a name. There haven't been too many Richards born in the US since 1972 or thereabouts. There never were too many Lyndons. If Obama goes down in history as a bad president, it probably won't affect baby naming much because there have never been many Baracks. (It's not even on the list in Hawaii.)

Probably because "George" was born in Connecticut, not Texas, the other George (HW) was born in Massachusetts.
By the way.. Has anyone noticed that "William" tops the list as the #1 boy name in nearly every Southern state?
